Tournament Highlights
Rohan Represent!
Bulacan marks the first time this year when the the maximum number of teams registered to compete at the CoC! The blistering heat proved to be none existent compared to the joy and fun to be had by merely competing at Bulacan. The teams comprised of veterans (Team Rai, MM) and new comers alike (Phoenix, Torment etc.) but when it came down to it..they all understood what needs to be done: defeat the other teams and prove that you are the best….or at the very least bombard them with trash talking so they’d wish they didn’t won even if they did!
The Reunion of the Year…sorta XD
There are times when rivalries break boundaries. While there are lots of rival guilds in RohanPH..you know you got a classic case of an “It ain’t over till it’s over” when they take the battle even in OTHER servers.
We won’t go into the details of who PK’ed who first or whether who owned what Major TSB that week or who decided to follow who in what server..but we could guess that the two guilds in the pic above had their share of gripping tales and intense battles (and a little bit of forum word wars in some cases) .
One thing is for sure though…no matter how much we think of them as “rivals” or “enemies” they cannot deny the fact that they complete each other. They only have fun when they are fighting each other..and they enjoy themselves when they are in a competition together. Yeee sobrang cheesy!
Why else would they seek each other out in Bulacan? It’s a classic case of tough love or what we usually define as “Cariño Brutal”.
This ain’t gonna be the last time we see this guys in the CoC that’s for sure.
An Epic Finale is Epic..
So here we are at last at the finals..a little bit shy of 1130PM on that day. After surviving 15 other teams…it all came down to new comers Team Dianne and Team Tutan.
CoC aficionados usually draw out their conclusions at the very beginning. Painting a grim picture of the way the tournament will play out in their minds and CoC Bulacan was no exception. With vets like RaiDestroyer…two MM teams and the guys of Phoenix you probably know what to expect but despite that..this two team held their ground and made it at the finals.
The match was a best of 3 race to 2 wins bout. Due to some “pesky neighbors” GM Krieger had to issue a rule that every team didn’t like: “Trash Talk off”. No one could talk trash save for one person : GM Krieger himself.
Drawing out the best of their skills and putting it together with their first CoC experience..Team Dianne managed to win the first round. Demoralized…Team Tutan went to theri corner and pondered the inevitable.
Round 2 begins with Team Dianne starting strong..but during the last moments, Team Tutan slayed their way and eventually earned them enough DP’s to tie the game.
Aside from the first fully booked CoC this year…the finals also had the first Sudden Death Match wherein the first team to land a kill on the other team is declared the winner. Picking out soft targets and debuffing them to the point that they were begging to be killed, Team Tutan won the 2nd round.
It was well past 12AM that night and the only thing keeping us from going home was the intense battle between these two teams. Both were determined to win.
Eventually though…Team Dianne snagged the 3rd round victory and became champions…and the rest was history.
CoC 2010: Bulacan Champions

2nd: Team Tutan (weird name >.<)
