Greetings Warriors of Rohan!

Read on to find out more about what happended during the Coliseum of Champions Manila held in Mineski Infinity Cafe’ last September 12, 2009

The Event

Over 194 people went and storm the Mineski Infinity Grounds last Sept. 12, 2009. This number consists of team members, friends, and passerby’s (who went for the raffle segment Only). All in all, it was a very jam packed, action packed, and ear numbing Saturday as team battled, and yelled their best trash talk lines!

First, lets go over the matches.

An overwhelming amount of team registered during the event. There was around 20+ teams that wanted to join. Such a warm reception gave us the idea to run not one..but 3 brackets! Though the 3rd bracket was canceled, the 1st and 2nd bracket were enough to rile up the crowd an almost break glass as the players show their enthusiasm toward Rohan’s savage PVP action!

Bracket A – First blood

In a nutshell, the first bracket of matches went like this:

Bracket was kicked off by Rebels vs. Immotional. Being seasoned Blood Wars champions, Immotional quickly wiped out Rebels by less than 3 minutes. Not a bad way to start the tournament! (Ok lang yan Rebels, bawi kayo next time XD)

Damnation Vs. Mcdo was rather a tactical battle. After much preparation and trashtalking Mcdo won over Damnation via points (Moral Lesson : Pag wala yung Parents…yung GUARDIAN! LOL)

Next up, Team Friends showed the Dragoons how “friendly” they are after they won over them via a hard earned (and rather laggy) battle.

Team Baragista and Pancit Canton’s match was….err..shall we say “spread out”. Being first time tournament participants…we had to educate them about “FF” or “focus fire”. With practice, these teams have the potential to win.

After the Semi’s and Finals, it was Immotional who eventually emerged as the winner of Bracket A.

Bracket B – All nightmare long..

OK! On to Bracket B!

Picture this, it’s raining outside and its already waaay past your bedtime. Then all of a sudden you hear screams.

Screams like – “Yung Guardian MALAMBOT! KARNEHIN NA YAAAAAN!!!” or “ASA ka naman boy di mo ko kaya!!” and the classic “PARE pa -RESU…..RESUU!!”

Yep, just another day in a life of a Rohan player. Good times….goooood times. XD

Anyway…bracket B went down like this:

Trial by fire..is what best describes the 2nd bracket. Not only does the bracket contain new teams and new faces, these newbies are up joined by TWO Blood Wars Champions : The First event Champ – IMMOdium and Cebu Champs Team Rai.

“Hindi naman sa pine-pressure ko kayo pero…may dalawang champion team sa bracket nyo. Pero ok lang yan…isipin nyo na lang na…errr..anyway Good luck!” - GM Krieger

Against all odds (well sort of..) Maharot Team, with courage and bravery faced Team Rai for the first match. Maharot fought valiantly. Maharot tried every trick in the book. Maharot never gave up. Maharot was wiped out in under 3 minutes. Well, at least they enjoyed themselves doing it ^_^.

2nd Apparitions of Teams Rebels and Dragoons, Rebels2 vs. Playmates fought for the 2nd round. Playmates won via points. Better luck next time Rebels.

The next match was interesting, Rai Destroyer was an almost “all-girl” team. Funet was composed off hard boiled men. Bald and fierce. with tatoos on their arms. Oh yes…there WILL be blood!

Though…when they shook hands…the boys of Funet were rather “bashful” XD. Anyway..during the match, Funet was more focused on surviving as Rai Destroyer had them on the run from the Get go. Whether they lost on purpose to the girls or they were so captivated by their pretty faces is yet to be known XD. Rai Destroyer won.

Life is full of ups and downs. This fact was so very true for team IMMOdium. Their opponent, Team AlakPa! a new team and first time competitors already knew the outcome. They almost accepted their eventual defeat. But, as fate had it…beginners luck intervened. A surprising outcome : Alak Pa! won by almost wiping out IMMOdium.

Semi-finals passed…and eventually Alak Pa! is again faced with yet another Blood Wars Champion! Rai vs. Alak Pa for the bracket B finals. Again, Alak Pa! was considered as an “easy win”. Rai, had the momentum, they had the experience.

Alak Pa! had the heart..they had the belief that anything is possible, even a victory over a very formidable opponent. Lady luck smiled on one team…and Team Alak Pa! won.

Event Antics “The fun stuff”

The first every Coliseum of Champions was a HUGE success. The RohanPH GM team would like to thank all who went to the event and proved that Rohan is the best MMORPG around these days.
